Our team was built out of experienced and professional tour guides and our leader who used to work in Smokey Tours for a long time plays an crucial role in educating other team members to devote themselves wholeheartedly to facilitating different faucets of approaches to address underlying issues.
Our mission resides not only in gaining public awareness through our conscious efforts put into a number of activities themselves, but in impacting people and companies all over the worlds to create positive shifts in social warfare supports.

ABOUT OUR PROJECTS
Becoming a game changer of post-pandemic welfare supports
After COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, NGOs were faced with tough decisions about how to sustain activities due to lack of financial aids, therefore, to large part, forced to be dismantled, which ended up making our tour guide leader (Marjorie Mangalonzo) decide to start refining the platform of social welfare supports in order to take more efficient approaches to empower, educate and train people in underprivileged communities as part of our post-covid voluntary projects.

Slum Tour Itinerary
9:00AM~ Meet and greet at a nearby fast food restaurant
We will meet on-site on the day. You will meet our tour guide at a designated fast food restaurant in the Tondo area of Manila. (About 20 minutes by taxi or 40 minutes by train from Makati City)
9:15AM~ Transfer to each tour site by jeepney & Tricycle
Please receive a brief explanation at the fast food restaurant and follow the instructions from your guide. Take a jeepney (common bus) and a tricycle to move to your first destination.
~11:30AM Guided tour ends
After the tour ends, each member is free to disband. You can call a Grab from that area and return to your hotel, or if necessary, our guide will accompany you to the vicinity of the station. Please consult your guide.
9:30AM~ We will initiate your tour at the site
Please follow the instruction from your guide during the tour.
Please refrain from using your smartphone while walking as it is dangerous and obtain permission from the tour guide before taking photos or videos at specific places.
FAQ
Q. Is it safe? Isn't there any danger?
A. We conduct tours with local permission and there are police on site, so your safety will be ensured as long as you follow the guide's instructions during the tour. Please refrain from acting selfishly or speaking or acting in a manner that is thoughtless or irritating to local residents, as this may cause trouble. Also, please be sure to manage your valuables by yourself.
Q. Is it safe for women to participate?
A. The local guide is a woman, and there are many women who participate alone. You can experience the tour with peace of mind regardless of whether you are male or female.
Q. Can children participate?
Q. Is there a shuttle service?
A. Children (minors) can participate under specific conditions, however it also depends on the age and number of people, so please be sure to consult in advance when making a reservation.
A. There is no shuttle service. Please meet at the designated fast food restaurant in the Tondo area of Manila. Please come by Grab, taxi, etc. (You can also take the train as it is near the station)
Other notes
About payments
Payment for the tour can be made in advance by credit card, bank transfer, or in cash (Philippine peso) collected on the day of the tour. Please select your payment method when making your reservation.
*Customers who choose to pay in cash on the day will be asked to submit the representative's personal identification (driver's license, passport, etc.) in advance.
About tour itinerary
The tour flow (time and itinerary) is a guideline. The contents may change without notice. Also, the tour itinerary maybe subject to change due to weather or other reasons. The tour could also be canceled on the day due to bad weather.
About cancellation fee
Cancellation fees will be charged from the day before the tour date.
Cancellation the day before the tour date: 10% of the tour price
Cancellation on the day, cancellation without prior notice: 100% of the tour price
*Please note that if you cancel 2 days or more before the tour date, there will be no cancellation fee, but you will be responsible for any fees required for refunds (transfer fees, settlement fees, etc.).
*If the management determines that it is difficult to proceed with the tour due to typhoons, bad weather, accidents, etc., there is a possibility that the tour will be canceled on the day. In this case, we will notify customers as soon as possible and provide refunds to customers who have already made their payment.
